Two pictures to look at upstairs
Today I want to unite two pictures, aimed at the sky, into one post. The first photo was taken on Zverinskaya Street on Petrogradsky Island. The name of the street is translated as "street of animals", this street leads to the Zoo. The balcony with cast iron grids seemed very unusual to me. Balconies like these, like arbours, are rare.I could not find any information about the construction time of this balcony. The balcony itself probably appeared during the construction of the house in 1905, but the grilles could be added later.
The second photo shows a milepost (waypost) on the background of the Fire Department of the Admiralteysky District. They are located on Repin Square. The sundial is fixed on a milepost.
This is my entry for the #beautifulsunday created by@ace108an for the #sublimesunday created by @c0ff33a.
Beautiful architecture. I like specially the obelisc: it's remind me egiptian pyramids. Greetings
Thanks! Glad to see you:)
I'm thinking maybe the whole balcony section there was added later.
It seems to me that way too, but I certainly don’t know.
It does look like you guys like to have little balcony on the 3rd floor.

Old entrance to the zoo (now the entrance is located elsewhere):
Yes, I see the pattern of balconies on the 3rd floors.
