Former military barracks, future creative space
This time I didn't have much luck with the weather. It was warm, sometimes even hot, but soon after the start of my walk the sun began to hide behind the clouds and the cityscapes began to look rather gloomy. But I got a wonderful compensation for this failure of the weather, during my walk I found a new place for me.
The case was this: I was walking down Ruzovskaya Street and my attention was caught by bright green eyes. I thought that maybe this drawing had appeared for a reason? I looked around and saw an open gate with "LOFT" written on it. Of course, I immediately turned to see what was hiding behind the gate with such a promising name.
As it turned out, the spacious courtyard and the surrounding buildings of the former barracks of the Semenovsky and Jäger regiments are now being renovated, and there are plans to open a creative space here. At the end of May there will be a recreation area, where fairs and exhibitions will be held, as well as a volleyball court and a food court.
So far, the project looks beautiful only on the poster, in reality there is still a lot of work to be done. I do not know what was here in previous years, but the space looks long abandoned, the walls of the buildings have not been repaired for many years, the asphalt of the courtyard as if it melted with the snow. But the restoration work is moving forward. I will definitely come here in a while to look at the transformation of the space.
