ROUGH GREEN SNAKE (Opheodrys aestivus)
Look at what Red-Pepper found today!
While looking for our baby calf in the woods (she had wandered away for a bit), Red-Pepper's keen eyes saw this beautiful Rough Green Snake in the bushes. Knowing our family rules, she called me over for a species verification and permission, which I soon confirmed and granted. She enjoyed checking out this incredible nonvenomous species, and then coiled it up prior to releasing it, so I snapped some very interesting looking photos. Enjoy!

Amazing. Really I have surprised. The snake looks very long. And the colour. Really amazing.
