The current name of this park is Hadith Park.

At one time Gandhiji of India came to Khulna and delivered his valuable speech, hence it was named Gandhiji Park. Later, after India became independent, Khulna became part of Pakistan.
Then Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the father of the nation of Pakistan at that time, came to this Hadith Park and gave a speech, which was later renamed as Jinnah Park.

So why is this park called Hadith Park ???

At that time there was a mass movement all over Pakistan for the release of Sheikh Mujib from the agar case. Hadisur Rahman of Khulna was shot dead by the police. Shaheen Hadith Park was named after him in his honor.
