Grasslands are extremely valuable and important habitats in nature. They feed a lot of herbivores which in turn support fauna all the way till the top of the food chains.

Where grasslands are suppose to grow due to the rainfall limit or in the flooding zones of rivers are very important and we should not try to convert them into forests.

Similarly we should not destroy forests where they grow naturally to convert them into grasslands.
