Hello steemians,

Am excited to be here again to participate in this contest. I want to say a big thank you to @belenguerra @badsha1@bright-obias and @worldgeography for putting up this contest and constant support.

This contest is about my geographic photo. And below are mine.

I have a journey to make today. I live in Lagos state, western part of Nigeria. But today i will be travelling to the eastern part of Nigeria for a conference, so i will be bringing you some geographic features in picture form.

Geography is the study of the shape of the earth.
One aspect of geography is the physical geography.
Physical geography is the study of natural features like tress, River, settlement,Rocks, hills, mountains, vegetations, crops, population, etc.
And this contest is purely on physical geography.

Yesterday i woke up and i notice that the weather was really amazing. First we had a full moon and i decided to take a picture of it.

The moon is a part of the solar system. It is also called the satellite of the earth.
The moon is the only satellite of the earth.
The moon gives light during the night or early hours of the morning.
The moon affects tides on earth which in turn affects Rivers, seas and even hours of the day.

My journey started and i travelled by land. Although travelling by land can be stressful especially with a public transportation. But that's the only way i can actually see geographic features and take pictures.

Trees are very important in geography and to life generally. Aside trees serving as food for both animals and man. Trees serves as wind break and also prevents erosion. Wherever there are tress there is a good breath of fresh air.

This next picture is a picture of bigger tress, i told you am travelling so am taking the pictures from a far distance. I saw this tree and i loved the sight of it.

Big trees also serves as shade during rainfall or even sunlight.
Trees are really important to man's survival here on earth because it can be used for timber which is in turn used for roofing of houses.
Tress can also be used to make fire wood. I remember those days in my village, when we visit my ground parents, we see the people in the village cooking with fire wood.
Some leaves from trees and even the trunk can be used for medicinal purpose.

This next picture is a picture of a small River
I saw this small river in a particular village where we passed.
A River is a large body of flowing water. River contains fresh water therefore there are some things that cant live there because they only survive in a salt water region.

River serves as a source of water
River can serve as home for aquatic animals like fish.
River is needed for water cycle.

While the next picture is a bigger river very popular one in Nigeria. The name is called River part of Nigeria in Anambra state.

Rivers like this serves as tourist site for people.
River are used as recreation like swimming.

This particular picture is a picture of a Hill.
Its a rocky hill.

Hills are higher elevations, ticker than the soil.
Hills are also of importance to man and here are some importance of hills.

Houses also can be built on hills to prevent flood.
Although hills are elevated area, it can be easily climbed than a mountain.
Hills can also serve as a very good place to view nature.

Here is a picture of green vegetation. This picture was taken when i got to a particular state in the eastern region.
Generally Africa is known for its rich vegetation. Plants and crops do well in this region.
