I love animals since early childhood. At home, my brother and I lived with fish, hamsters, and when we grew up, our parents brought us a dog, Gina. She is a sheepdog breed. She is already six years old.
Walking and training Gina, I became more interested in the animal world. In the wild, hippos are my favorite animal. They are stunning, powerful, formidable giants, an adornment of African nature.
The carcass of a hippopotamus weighs approximately four tons. The Africans have long tried to hunt hippos, but you can't take this animal with your bare hands. Hippos perfectly defend themselves with their fangs, they just don't let anyone near them, they run very fast, and even motor boats overtake them by swimming.
Personally, I love small, wet hippos. They are good-natured, funny and defenseless. I was very surprised when I recently read that scientists are still discovering new, strange and amazing species of animals in the wild. The world learns about them for the first time and is only amazed at them. For example, in the deep forests of Vietnam, researchers met a small rhino, adapted to live in the eternal darkness of the jungle. They also found a small bull, whose height at the withers is only a meter. It even looks more like a goat.
The bear is a unique animal. He is a large and very strong, extremely dangerous animal. He is able to kill with one blow of a powerful paw. At the same time, the bear is clumsy and funny, hibernates in winter and sucks its paw in its den. The little cubs are very funny. No wonder the favorite children's toy is a teddy bear.
In the mobile zoo, my mother and sister, I saw an orangutan. This red-haired strongman turned out to be very similar to a person, he even sat somehow similar, in the pose of a child, with his head pulled into his shoulders. I immediately realized that the orangutan is considered a great ape for a reason. It turns out that even the name of this monkey in the Indonesian language contains the word "man". Orangutan is literally "forest man". In the wild, a large red monkey lives in the jungle. The male weighs as much as an adult male - ninety kilograms.
And they are as tall as a person. I like orangutans. Or orangs, orangutans - they are also called that. This monkey is strong, peaceful, but if you touch it, it will not seem a little. The orangutan's powers are legendary. I also love orangutans because they are hermits. They live in the wilds of the jungles of Southeast Asia. They don't bother anyone. They lie to themselves picturesquely on thick branches, as if on a hanging sofa. Their eyes are kind. Sometimes orangutans scream loudly and can panic a traveler passing by. But that's how they call each other or scare rivals.
