Hello friends,

How are you guys...? I hope you all are well. This is my introduction post for the Steem #geography community.

1- What's your name?

My name is Gihani Kanchana. I am 22 years old and I am the eldest daughter in a family of three. My mother is a housewife and father is a mason bass. I am currently finishing school education and taking a pharmacy course. My school is Devapathiraja national college in Rathgama. It is a mixed school. Of the past my favorite season is the school days. That time was so funny and beautiful. And very sad 😔. Because that school time will never come into our lives again.

3- In which country do you live?

My country is Sri Lanka. My country is nicknamed the Pearl of the Indian Ocean. Sri Lanka is a beautiful and quiet little island with a lot of beautiful and scenic spots. Today it has attracted many of tourists. Beautiful beaches, flower gardens, mountain ranges and waterfalls enhance to the beauty of Sri Lanka.

4- What's your town or city?

The city where I live is Galle. It is the capital of the Southern Province. My village is Boossa in the Galle district. Galle is a city with high infrastructure. Galle is also an easily accessible city. A beautiful place like Rumaswala, Kanneliya, Unawatuna beach, Hikkaduwa beach and Kosgoda beach belongs to the Galle District. Named as a Heritage Site, Galle Fort also enhance to the beauty of the Galle District.

5- Mention 3 things that you love more about your neighborhood (or the place you live in)

What I like most about my surroundings is being with my neighbors and friends. I also like flowers, plants and streams.

6- What do you love about #steemit?

Steemit is a different platform than other social media platforms. Anyone can join the steemit and continue working. There is no better platform for those who like to read and write than steemit. Also steemit is a decentralized blockchain so we can work here without any influence. Those who share quality content free of plagiarism can move forward through steemit. Publishers on steemit also receive cryptocurrencies such as steem, SBD, SP and Tron. As with other social media users are not allowed to post articles on the steemit that contain violence or misinformation. Anyone can post articles in the steemit anytime they like. So for these reasons I like steemit a lot.

7- Why you like Steem Geography Community?

This is the only community related to Geography. Various environmental contests are organized here. Also the administrators of this community provide similar support to the publishers here. As always users are encouraged to post content that is free of plagiarism.

I see this geography community as a community that has come to a good level in a very short period of time. Also the geography community is one of the main other communities in steemit. For these reasons I like the geography community.

8 -Share a picture of the nearest place from your home that you love more.

One of my favorite places in our area is the Mahamevna Bhavana Monastery in Malegoda, Galle. It is a place that inherits a very beautiful and quiet environment. This is a Buddhist shrine. Buddhists visit this place on Poya days as well as on other days.
