FIRST CONTEST!! 🛡️National Symbols🛡️ | Sri Lanka 🇱🇰
Hello friends,
I think you all are doing well. Today I am participating with a [ENG - ESP] FIRST CONTEST!! 🛡️National Symbols🛡️ / PRIMER CONCURSO: 🛡️Símbolos Nacionales🛡️ contest organized by @belenguerra. And this is the first time I've published an article in this community.
So today I am going to talk to you about the national symbols of my country is Sri Lanka, which is nicknamed the Pearl of the Indian Ocean.
There are various objects, symbols, emblems, flags and songs to represent the national identity of any country. Among them, the national flag is a symbol that helps to identify any country. Because anyone who sees the national flag can tell what that country is. So the first thing I say is about the national flag of my country.
National Flag
The lion holding a sword occupies a prominent place in the national flag of our country. It and the yellow background show the fairness, discipline and courage of the Sinhala nation /the great nation of Sri Lanka and the Sinhalese people. The red background represents the pride of our country.
The green bar depicts Muslims and the orange bar depicts Tamils. The four Bopas represent the four Brahma commentaries, Metta, Karuna, Muditha and Upeksha.
National Anthem
I will next talk about the national anthem of our country. This was written by Ananda Samarakoon. I present the national anthem of our country in our mother tongue.
