Hello everyone. This article is my entry to the films about travelers contest by @belenguerra. I would invite anyone reading this post to join in the contest and submit their amazing entries. I have watched countless movies where the main characters moved from one geographic location to the other. But for today, I will be providing a brief recount of the movie Crazy Rich Asians.

This film is a romantic comedy movie centered on two main characters Rachel Chu and her boyfriend, Nick Young. Rachel Chu, played by Constance Wu, is an economics professor at the New York University and in a loving relationship with Nick. She is, however, unaware of her boyfriend's wealthy family background as Nick Young, played by Henry Golding, lives a modest life in the US. Nick receives an invitation to become the best man at a wedding event of his friend in Singapore, his hometown, and takes advantage of the opportunity to introduce his middle-class girlfriend, Chu, to his family.

The movie highlights a strong contrast in a change of environment as the environment shifts from the mundane busy-bodied Manhattan lifestyle to a world of elite and extravagant lifestyle in Singapore. Also, the change in the scenery, landscape, and culture of the people is apparent and engaging.

During the story's development, Rachel comes in contact with several relatives of Nick with varying degrees of character and attitude towards her. Eventually, love conquered all as the two love birds surmounted the numerous objections and hindrances to their love story.
