A drive through small towns in New York State, USA (5 pics)

I am not a fan of road trips, but they allow us to discover small towns that would have remained unknown otherwise.

In these small towns, we discover little pearls here and there that allow us to really get away from our normal life.

Old cash registers are so charming.

They sure take up space, but they are so pretty.

One should adjust the amounts of this one to be able to use it, but you have to admit that it is a statement when arriving in the shop.

Old European-inspired house in the US.

Following immigration, many different styles of architecture appeared and are still present for the pleasure of our eyes.

We left the car for a few hours and during a walk in Syracuse, we came across a church.

The doors being closed with a note that an appointment had to be made to be able to visit it, we were about to leave when a woman presses the doorbell.

We took the opportunity to sneak in and have been able to admire the interior of this beautiful church with a private tour.

This is the Oswego Harbor West Pierhead Lighthouse, which has been on the National Register of Historic Places since the start of the millennium.

Interestingly, the light from the lighthouse is powered by solar energy.

Along the shores of Lake Onondaga, in Syracuse, there is a park, Onondaga Lake Park, that stretches over a distance of 12km.

The park and lake are perfect for a family getaway as there is a lot of cool activities organized year long.

A nice walk!
