The natural resources in Cross River State consist of Barter, Lead/Zinc, Limestone, Manganese. Oil/Gas, Salt and Uranium. Natural gas, Gravel,Gold,Fresh Water, Iron, etc.
A.What types of natural resources do you have around you?
The types of natural resources around me herev is known as Abiotic.
Abiotic: these resources come from non-living and non-organic material. Examples of these resources include land, fresh water, air, and heavy metals (iron, copper, Gravel etc.).
B.What is the work of those Resources?
The work of those resources are very important to everyone including industry.

| Limestone | Is highly used to neutralize acidity in industrial waste, road construction, cement production and it's also used to minimize soil acidity for agriculture. |
| Oil/Gas | work as a petroleum products like diesel, gasoline,fuel and kerosene. |
| lead, and zinc | Zinc is used as an alloy to copper to produce brass, Steel galvanization (coating of iron or steel), production of battery, aluminum and electrical tools. |
| Salt | Salt is use daily mostly in cooking and in preservation,the production of bleach, soaps, detergents, and also for its health benefits to human it work for heartbeat. |
| copper | It is alloyed with zinc to create brass, making of cooking utensils, electrical wiring etc |
| Gravel | Is used for the construction of road,bridge, building of house and so on. |
C.How it contribute to your society or country?
They contribute towards fiscal revenue, income, and poverty reduction in the country. They help boost the economy in the country by increasing income through sale. With the availability of natural resources in my place, today we have foreign investors which has create employment to so many people.
D.Why these resources important for economy of your place, society or country?
They are very important because they serve many purpose. Like the Oil and Gas are use to produce fuel, diesel, kerosene and so many lubricant product. They are also very important because it generates revenue to the government. They play a vital in the development in my country by enriching agriculture, trade, import and export.
