Hello everyone,
It's with joy in my heart and a very great pleasure that I write on these very contest. I am a Nigerian, a proud one for that matter.
I want to appreciate @belenguerra for making these contest of @worldgeography a reality. Please follow me as I review to you most of my national symbol and possibly explain their meaning to you.

The Nigerian coat of arm (shield)
Nigerian coat of arm is what I describe as a symbol that holds the strength of the nation, actually it contains a whole lots in it. Among which include:-

• Black shield and colourful wreath over the shield stand for fertile soil of Nigeria;

• White horses mean dignity;

• Red Eagle is for the strength of the nation;

• White lines in the “Y” shape stand for two main rivers of Nigeria: Benue and Niger;

• Yellow Trumpet or Costus Spectabilis is the national flower of Nigeria. In these case the are painted read for some reasons. The flower is placed on the ground where the shield is standing. It represents the beauty of the country and its nation;

• “Unity and Faith, Peace and Progress” line beneath the shield is the Nigerian national motto. It was adopted in 1978. The purpose is to inspire the nation to be united, faithful, live in peace and grow, become wiser and stronger.

Nigerian National anthem: Nigerian as a nation just like other countries all over they world has its own national anthem. It is one among they respected symbol in Nigeria. Once the national anthem is going on everyone stands still untill it is over. Below are the both versions of the Nigerian national anthem.

First version of the National anthem

Arise, O compatriots, Nigeria's call obey
To serve our fatherland
With love and strength and faith
The labour of our heroes past
Shall never be in vain
To serve with heart and might
One nation bound in freedom, peace and unity.

Second version of the National anthem

Oh God of creation, direct our noble cause
Guide our leader’s right
Help our youth the truth to know
In love and honesty to grow
And living just and true
Great lofty heights attain
To build a nation where peace and justice shall reign. Source

National Flag : The Nigeria national flag, to me it is the most important symbol of the nation. It is beautifully designed with two amazing colour, green and white.

Meaning of the two colours

• Green:- wealth, rich natural resources
• White:- Peace and unity

Sports: sports activities in Nigeria can not be over emphasised because even the world know that in the aspect of sport we are good. We do all form of sport activities.

The National flower of Nigeria: Costus Spectabillis. It's yellow in colour and it is found all over Nigeria, also found on the coat of arm. It signifies beauty of the nation it's uniqness and prosperity.
