INTRODUCTION: hello friends, i am so glad to be here today to discuss with you on this fascinating topic: A call to Deliberate on world Issues.

Brief introduction of my country

My country Nigeria is located in West Africa gained independent from British in 1960 with a fast growing economic and the most populated country in Africa, with very many enthic groups, and numerous languages, but English is the official language. The country is blessed with abundant natural minerals resources such as crude oil etc

(1) Tell us, what's the problem or issue that your country is facing

My country have a lot of issues or problems which are well simplified, explained and elaborated below

(i.) Bad governance system

My country is one of the most corrupt nation in the world, with a very bad and corrupt government, during election most of the politicians will deserve the masses with fake promises that they will rule well in favour of the masses.

But at the end they will end up embezzled money, building mansions and even industries and hotel abroad, with out really serving the people, most of the leaders in my country are only interested in enriching themselves and their families why majority of the population are suffering, living in poverty etc.

ii.)Poor education system

Most of the schools in my country are deteriorated with old buildings, no modern infrastructures some of the community secondary schools especially in rural area are not well equip, with modern facilities such as equip laboratory for the science students, and equip library, some of the library are filled with outdated books, majority of the private secondary schools are so poor with unqualified teachers.

The tertiary institution especially the so called federal universities love enbarking on strike every time ASUU strike, at the end of the ASUU strike the lectures will share the money the federal government will give to them without doing anything in favor of the students, corruption is entrying everywhere not just in politics also in the academic sector.

My school for instance university of Calabar (unical) the professor will collect money from the federal government in the name of building a new an bigger building for the department at the end share the money within themselves with out any building been built State and private universities school fees are very expensive that only the rich can afford it yet they have a lot of unqualified lectures and sub-standard professors.

(iii.) Poor healthcare system

Most of the hospitals in my country lack modern facilities, death rate is very high in my country because of poor medical facilities and lack of good management, some of the top politicians in my country travel abroad often for medical treatment especially my president, all he does is to travel abroad for medical treatment because majority of the hospitals are not well equipped, deteriorated old buildings in the name of hospital.

For instance the university of Calabar teaching hospital, lack modern equipment and facilities, in my unit to be precise medical Radiography department in ( UCTH) lack computed tomography machine (CT) magnetic resonance imagining machine (MRI) fluoroscopy equipment, mammography machine and other essential equipment use for diagnosis of patients. Yet the administration will collect money share among themselves with out buying any new diagnostic machine.

(iv.)High rate of Unemployment

Unemployment is a very big problem in my country, most of the youth are unemploy because of bad government and corruption, the government are not creating any new job, student in various higher institution will graduate yet no work, unemployment rate in my country is very high due to the corruption some people are ghost workers in some organization have multiple jobs receiving salary without real working for the money blocking other people opportunity of working.

(v) Poor Insecurity system

in my country Insecurity is a very big problem in nation especially in the north east States of the country such as Borno state, Gombe, Adamawa, Taraba, Bauchi and Yobe state terrorist group called Boko Haram has been disturbing the peace of these States for over 6yrs now killing and destruction of houses and properties.

Also in the South East part of the country Indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB) started with they own issues state affected were Enugu, Abia Imo, Anambra Ebonyi states but thank God it did not escalate and the crisis did not lasted for long , it happen 30/05/2021. IPOB has been fighting for their own independent it was the reason Nigeria had the civil war. an the problem is still on struggling for a nation called Biafra.

(vi.) Communities or Tribals war (crisis)

Tribal war is a very common occurrence in my country, one community fighting the next community , killing and destruction of properties, example Fulani Herdsmen and some communities in Benue State use to fight often because of land, they even fought last two months, two communities at Ughelli local government area in Delta State fought because of land and the ownership market place, it occurred
early last month.

Also last two years a community at Ogoja local government in Cross River State and another community in Ebonyi states Ezi local government fought because of piece of land , and other tribal war i can not remember. Tribal and communities crisis is a regular occurrence.

(vii) Religion war or crisis

The two major religion in my country are the Christian and Muslim these two religions are both Western religion (Abrahamic religion) but the Muslims love attacking the Christians some times it is been influence by politic, a lot of religion crisis has taken place in my country especially in state such as Kaduna state, plateau state (Jos) to be precise and Kano all in the northern part of the country dominated by the Muslims.

(viii) Kidnapping

the rate of kidnapping in my country is getting worse, some groups of criminal are kidnapping primary and secondary School children for the government to pay ransom, various kidnapping has taken place in the country I could remember 14/4/2014 chibok school girls were kidnapped so that the government could paid ransom.

Also last two months students of the university of agriculture in Benue state were kidnapped so that the government would pay ransom i often hear of kidnapping in the country almost every day news especially on NTA, AIT and other media within the country.

(ix) Internet fruster/scammer

There are a lot of internt fruster in my country such as Yahoo boys, 419 scam etc that are very good in using the internet to dupe people either through online dating on social media like Facebook, Twitter etc, lottery fee scam, a lot of scammers everywhere ready to scam people of their money.

(x.) Tribalism and Nepotism

Tribalism and Nepotism is a usual occurrence in my country the Hausa ethnic group what to be the only tribe ruling as president because they are the majority ethnic group.

Also the present ruling administration of government favour more of the Hausa people than other tribes. If one is searching for job an the person don't have top politician as godfather it is always very difficult to succeed such a job, godfather is the issue of the day.

(xi.) Natural disasters such as Flood due to too much heavy rain fall a village in River State the flood was too much, many buildings were collapsed some of the villagers in the community relocated to another place, a lot of communities that base around riverine area are really suffering from Flood. Especially during the raining season.

(xii.) Other natural disasters are crude oil spillage. it usually occurred in area that have refinery oil spillage used to cause water pollution there by endangering aquatic live. Crude oil spillage can also cause explosion which is very dangerous to human life, some oil producing state in my country are really facing this problem.

Yes i have been affected by the issues of my country. The bad governance of my country has affected me, I am a very intelligent student with a very high CGPA of 4.4 i have applied for scholarship several times yet it not working out government rarely give scholarship to student in my country nowadays.

Unemployment: after my secondary School i search for job so as to work an save money before proceeding to the university yet i did not succeed. during holidays i do search for work yet i couldn't find any i was frustrated. I could remember in 2014 it was God that save me from Boko Haram attached in maiduguri the capital city of Borno state.

Also in 2016 God saved me from religion crisis that took place in Jos the capital city of plateau state. When i went to visit my Uncle Dr Michael Obi. I was almost kidnapped for by occultist men for money ritual it was God that save me that day.

further more, i could remember on the 20/3/2021 i was so sick i was rushed to the hospital because of the poor medical system no good facilities, no quality drugs i almost die it was God that saved me that day, finally i was duped by internet fruster last three years then i was a fresher in the university of Calabar i was duped of my school fees.

(3)If you are given the opportunity to lead your country What are the necessary changes you would make to relieve the problem of your country.

I will fight against corruption Because corruption is one of the major problem my country is facing, I will ensure i create strong law enforcement agencies that will help me to curb the rate of corruption in my country and the agencies will be very transparent, honest and sincere to fight against corruption.

Not like the present government that is using the agency that supposed to fight against corruption to fight against only his opposition parties what politicians are doing now they decamped to the ruling party after embezzling huge amount of money.

In the area of insecurity
I will ensure i train more military personnel and equip them with enough modern and suficicated fighting machine such as missiles, fighting jet, armour cars Sophisticated guns like Ak 47 our military system lack good fighting equipment. I will ensure all the service chiefs of staff Army, Navy Army and Air Force are not from thesame tribes or religion. They will all be selected from various ethnic groups and among the different religions within the country. Also the palamilitary force such as Police EFCC, etc will not be corrupt.

In the area of Unemployment i will ensure i create more jobs opportunities i will build more industries, companies, etc that will employ a lot of people, empower those who already have a skill, grant loan to people that want to start up a business. I won't embezzled the public money instead i will use the money for the service and betterment of the citizens.

In the area of healthy care i will ensure i equip all the hospital in my country with well functioning equipment use for diagnosis, treatment, etc and i will provide quality drugs for my people also all the healthcare workers such as doctor nurses, pharmacists Radiographers lab. scientist etc will be well train finally all the old buildings called hospital will be rehabilitated with modern facilities.

In the area of education I will ensure all the old school building will be renovated, and equip with modern infrastructure, all secondary School science laboratory will be well equip and their library well be equip with good textbooks, journal, article etc. And all the lectures will be well paid to avoid strike, build more structure in the various campus especially in my department.
