~Issues affecting the world cannot be overemphasized.

Democracy which is defined as the government of the people, by the people and for the people by Former US president - Abraham Lincoln has been converted to be the major issue affecting countries of the world which Nigeria-My country is not an exemption.

Democracy which gives room for freedom of speech, freedom of opinion and freedom from poverty has today turned to be a principle that is misrepresented by its operators using Nigeria -My country as a case study.

NIGERIA, WHERE WE ARE
In 2015, when the administration of President Muhammadu Buharicame into power, Nigerians had higher expections of better representation, better governance and more secured state. Nigerians had trust on the military intelligence of the former Head of State -PMB.

All hope is currently lost as the administration could not even deliver on the minor hope of SECURITY which they gave.

BAD GOVERNANCE IN NIGERIA 🇳🇬

Since 2015 and before, Nigeria as a country is faced with security challenges of Militancy, Bokoharam, separatist and Bandit etc. This which the administration of Yar’adua in his wisdom was able to curb the issues of militancy that has was ravaging the southern part of the country before the emergence of the Boko haram sect in the Northen Part of the Country.

A sect that opposes western Education in the north. That was there first vision before they turned to a terrorist group with -Shekau as their supreme Leader.

A government came in at the federal level to fight what they termed as “CORRUPTION” and yet even snakes and monkeys are swallowing money out of Public offices and even central bank. It is in this administration that all the loots of Abacha are gradually coming out without it being used resourcefully.

POOR EDUCATION- it is worthy to note that majority leaders of Nigeria sents their kids for oversee education because of how dilapidated the primary, Secondary and tertiary schools look like.

A lot of Government officials come into power with ambitious manifestos of watery promises that most times don’t see the light of the day . Infrastructures in Nigeria are dilapidated without basic equipments and teachers.

POOR HEALTHCARE- thanks to the Rivers State which is taking the bold steps to revive this sector. Using Nigeria as a case study different of Rivers State, Health care infrastructures in Other parts of Nigeria is really dilapidated and nothing to write home about.

Rivers State which is a state in Nigeria has been ranked as the state that has the best radiology equipments , yet Nigeria as a country can’t boost of one done by the federal Government.

CLIMATE CHANGE AND DESTRUCTION - due to the oil spill in the oil producing region of the country , it has killed aquatic families like fishes, oysters, periwinkle etc.

This has led to the depleting of the ozone layers thereby causing black soots and direct affection of the sun to human.

ETHNIC DIVISION- This is one of the major problem facing the country Nigeria. Due to inequitable distribution of government resources and allocation , most parts of the country are feeling marginalized. The Igbos have (acclaimed ) to termed themselves as Biafrans, some part of the middle belt are agitating for Niger Delta Republic. For months now, Unknown Gunmen keeps killing and burning down police stations and police personnel’s. Their has been different reports of lock down in the southeast part of the country which is yet to be resolved.

EPILEPTIC POWER SUPPLY- changing the name of the power distribution company from NEPA to PHCN has done nothing better to the epileptic power supply facing the country-Nigeria. Please Sir , @bright-obias @belenguerra and @badshal this is the problem my country is facing that has made me to drop my entry quit late.

PHCN distribute power anyhow they like. No light, No water, No food. All this is caused by the fact that power supply in Nigeria is nothing to write home about. My sincere apologies for this late entry but the problem of my country caused it.

THE SHAMEFUL BANNING OF TWITTER IN NIGERIA

Indeed a shameful step taken by the Nigeria Government to ban the use of Twitter , I would have shared this my post on Twitter but our government here have banned usage of Twitter because Twitter removed a deteriorative statement accredited to the president from Twitter as it is termed offensive (which it is to Nigerians)

In Nigeria, we currently operating a demo-of-military regime. Where there is no freedom is speech, insecurity and poverty ravaging the people. Killings is not a new thing in Nigeria.

WAY FORWARD FOR MY COUNTRY NIGERIA

1. A dialogue with all separatists should be done by the federal Government•

2. State Policing- Each state should be be allowed to control, direct and manage their security agencies. Security should be removed from the Exclusive List and be placed on the residual list. Using a locality called Diobu as example, police and other security personnel’s find it difficult to perpetrated that region but with the help of Community vigilante, it makes the work so easy.

3. Reviewing of the Nigerian Constitution to gives equal powers to various states.

4. Changing the system of government from Federal to Confederal system of government. The confederal system of government will aid for various states of the country to control their allocation, security personnel’s, resources and government , then pay the Central government maybe 10% of its revenue to take care of National issues. This government gives more power to the states than the central government. The states are stronger while the central government is weaker . This is what can manage Nigeria as a country with diverse culture , ethnicity and religion. Changing the name as proposed from Nigeria to United States of African won’t do any other good.

5. National Dialogue with critical and relevant Stakeholders and aggrieved parties

6. Revamping of the economy with investing in Nigeria Concept. The dollar usage in Nigeria should be minimized by Central Bank of Nigeria.

Above All this is my Poem for NIGERIA

Nigeria is our responsibility
We need to use our capacity
With all opportunity
To create security
With its availability
In all locality
Thereby making peace infinity

Nigeria has been taken as a global factor of negativity,
due to our governmental corruptibility
and illegality,
thereby causing our posterity
to emulate partially and
shun creativity ,
lifting up the banner of controversiality.

Nigeria is my Nationality

I think this will go along way to help Nigeria from the current problems facing the country.
