Hello steemians, am so glad to be participating in this great contest,i really appreciate @belenguerra,for always posting awesome contest, I will be sharing today on my unforgettable experience with the element called water.But before I start let me share with us the meaning and importance of water.

DEFINITION OF WATER
water is a colourless, odourless, and tasteless liquid, it can exist in liquid, solid(ice) and gaseous state.it is made of both hydrogen and oxygen (H2O).some of the sources of water, includes:rainfall, lakes,
streams,rivers,spring,sea,oceans,groundwater and so on.more than 70 percent of the earth surface is covered with water.

IMPORTANCE OF WATER
The importance of water cannot be over emphasize, living things can't survive without water,some of the importance of water are as follows;
1.water can be used to generate electricity
2.it can also be used for agricultural purposes, such as feeding of livestock and farm irrigation.

3.water can be used for washing, cooking, drinking and other recreational purposes.
4.it can be used for industrial and commercial purposes
5.finally can also be used for recreational purposes such as surfing, fishing and swimming.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH WATER
Now let me share with you my unforgettable experience with water, i had two unforgettable experience with water on the same day, in February 2019,at tarkwa bay beach in Lagos Nigeria, i and my friends went to tarkwa bay beach for the celebration of our pastors birthday,i was happy to be part of celebration,but my concern was the water.
My first experience happened while we were on the boat going for the birthday celebration,the boat suddenly stopped moving, the pilot was trying to start the boat, but all his efforts proved abortive,we were in the middle of the sea, i could see a ship coming from afar, i began to remember the stories my dad had told me about his experience with water, he almost drowned while he was a youth, when he went to swim in one of the river in the village.
I thought we were all going to drown so i began to pray and suddenly the boat jerked back to life, i was so relieved and promised myself never to travel by water again.

My second experience was still on the same day after the birthday celebration, my friends invited me to swim, i stood from afar just to see how they were swimming, i got interested but i so afraid to go close to the water,after some minutes i summoned courage to go close to the them,when they saw me coming close to them, they were very happy, and eager to teach me how to swim,my two friends held my hands and escorted me into the water until we got to waste deep, i started shouting, they told me i shouldn't be afraid that they can't allow me to drown,i was so afraid yet looking forward to learning how to swim was so enticing, so I asked them what to do, they told me i have to dive into the water and release my self,and also i have to hold my breathe.i dived into the water and to my suprise i started drowning and struggling inside the water, but thank God, they noticed i needed to be rescued, they dived into the water and helped me out,although it's been more than two years, but i will never forget this two experience with water.
