Street as we all know is a paved part of road, usually in a village or a town, with sidewalks, and building with neighbors and pedestrian.

In my area, both the young, old, rich, poor, unemployment engaged, and single people spend great deal of time in the street, mostly for the sake of hustling to get money.

Some even engage in illegal activities and to this set of people the street is called a ghetto.

Let me start by telling you the street I live in, and all the ups and downs that has been happening in my street. The name of my street is "Sweet Mother street, Ikom, Cross River State, Nigeria."

As the name implies "sweet mother" which simply means our street is like the mother of all other streets in my area.

My street is sometimes having issues of electricity failure and for me that is the major problem with my street, because in most cases the electrical pole used for transmission of power will fall down on the road which is risky and in most times it causes traffic.

It is really very dangerous to allow an electric pole to lie on the road right? but come to my street and you would see all manner of things.

As a geographer, I think the best way to solve this electrical issues of my street is to construct concrete and solid poles together with at least one good Dam, because the electric poles in my street were not constructed properly, and it has remained a major problem to us.
