Good Day Steemians! Last week I shared my experience about sea of clouds in Davao de Oro, and now, I will share to you my hot spring experience on the same province the Municipality of Nabunturan, the capital of Davao de Oro Province.

Nabunturan, is a municipality, the capital of Davao de Oro is called the home to the Mainit Hot Springs Protected Landscape because a lot of hidden hot springs is in here. Nabunturan is surrounded by mountains that is why it is called "Nabunturan" from the word "buntod" a Cebuano term that means mountain according to the locals. It is well known place because of this certain hot spring, the Toyozu Mountain Resort. They offer accommodation, and steam bath and pools.

IMG_20210525_173832.jpgWe used google map to get there. Our actual travel was 3 hours and 15 minutes by car because my cousin just drove slowly, and we made stop overs for breakfast and lunch.

ACCOMODATION

FB_IMG_1621869655784.jpgThis is me and my brothers. Behind us is our cottage. All of the accommodations here are huts, this is good for 5 to 8 persons. We stayed here overnight with my cousin and her helper. I don't know how much it cost because all expenses are paid by my cousin, we were so lucky. ☺️

THE POOLS

FB_IMG_1621869696695.jpgThe resort also have a natural sauna. It is a small cave and the rocks in it releases heat.

HOT BATH, STEAM BATH, SAUNA WHY IS IT BENEFICIAL?

  • It heals body pain and muscle pain
  • Improves blood circulation
  • Reduces stress
  • Helps remove toxin from the skin
    *Burn calories

While using the amenities of the resort. I also noticed some risks in using them that we should have some caution. There is a risk of dehydration if using them for too long. So we should bring drinking water always and drink plenty of it before and after using the sauna, steam bath and the pools.

But all in all, I loved the experience of this trip because it was all first times and it did relaxed myself, my body and my mind. It was so thrilling staying in a place surrounded by mountain that you can feel the cold at evening and relieved by the steam bath, sauna, and hot pool. Indeed nature is the best medicine.
