"You are outside your home. You observe a person walking on your street open carrying a semi-automatic rifle and a semi-automatic pistol. You don't recognize the person and they don't live in your neighborhood. What do you do?"
Well, I live in California. You know, that State where the governor thinks he's made a law that says you can't open carry a firearm, and it's near impossible to get a concealed-carry permit, so your 2nd Amendment Rights are pretty much gone? Yeah...that State. I don't agree with those "laws" since they are in clear violation of the 2nd Amendment.
But I would take a moment to observe this individual. I would first look at how the weapons are being carried. Is the rifle being held "at the ready", in both hands, or is it slung? Big difference, and tells me a lot about intent.
But the biggest thought in my head right now is this: Since nearly every rifle and handgun sold is "semi-automatic", it means that the OP has some real lack of knowledge regarding firearms, and thinks that "semi-automatic" is some sort of specific, man-killing gun intended only for evildoers out there hell-bent on death and destruction.
Which is, by the way, wrong. But then, those of us here answering this troll question already know that, because we actually research the issue, are knowledgeable regarding firearms, and are qualified to speak on the topic. (Hint, hint.)
So, aside from doing nothing more than observing this guy, and wondering how far he's going to walk before getting arrested, I would do very little. Maybe start recording? That's about it.
Nope, I won't even call the police, because until such time as he attempts to use those firearms against innocent people, he has, in my mind, every right in the world to own and carry them, and I refuse to contribute to the erosion of our 2nd Amendment.
I never going to forget about that day and i am terrified just thinking about that day.
