We successfully installed THUNDER ARRESTOR
Helo my eSTEEMed STEEMians trust you guys are do good.
Today I want to show you guys how me and my team successfully installed a THUNDER ARRESTOR on top our church.
Before I proceed, what is THUNDER ARRESTOR
Thunder arrestor is a device used for the protection of the insulation and conduction properties of devices from the effect of being damage from lightning strikes.
EQUIPMENT USED
- Thunder arrestor
- copper tape
- copper Matt
- copper nail
- copper rod
- charcoal
- salt
PROCEDURE
The first thing we did was digging a hole of about 4 feet beneath the foundation of the building.
after the installation, we set up the copper Matt inside the hole.
- after the digging and setting up the copper Matt, we added salt to the copper Matt before and after putting charcoal on it
Why we added industrial salt and charcoal is that the behavior will retain moisture in the ground.
So after finishing with the ground connection, we move strength to the top of the building where we installed the Thunder arrestor it self
- after installing, we connected the copper tape to the Thunder arrestor, and which we drilled a particular place in the building so as to create path in which the copper tape will pass down to the copper Matt beneath the foundation
After that, the copper tape was connected and we burried the copper Matt set up.
And that's how the installation was a success.
