Truth Becomes Brighter

I find myself super busy these days with helping my local PPC candidate. Never in a million years would I have guessed I would be supporting a right-leaning part and certainly not in such an active way. I continue to believe that social democracy and the cultivation of a compassionate society is essential to human evolution. But there is no substitute for freedom and choice. And in Canada is there in only one party standing up for freedom and choice. So here I am wearing purple.

As someone who believes social democracy is the way forward, I have also come to understand in an even stronger way as before that SD much influenced by a tough strain of libertariansim.

There is no effective healthcare without freedom. There is control masquerading as care and there is containment but no health.
You will vote either for an imperfect freedom or a perfect tyranny. A loving person does not vote for tyranny.

Unfortunately a scared will, just about everytime.

My response to Russell ...

Our collective ego beast has terrorized and polarized just about everyone now to one side or they other. Bewildered and scared or aware and wary, working in the face of constant shaming and threats.

It is a worldwide entrapment act. I have been asked by a stranger what I would do if a certain law went through at a demonstration... for sure the guy was a plant and fishing. My answer ... passive resistance within the law. We gotta love 'em awake . He liked my answer but it wasn't the one he was looking for.

That's the thing; we weren't a good mark before; why do they think we would be one now. We live the alternative to mass hunger, greed, and lust; we know it is challenging at times to say no to the Id, but its doable and much better and rewarding once you get into the groove.

Science and spirituality is often seen as being at odds. I have never felt so. Certainly religion and certain religious tenets can clash at times but never spirituality or scientific exploration of creation.

When an individual has an open mind they help finding both spirituality and reason.

Here we have Carl Sagan channeling Nostradamus.

Alas ignorance is currently masquerading as faith in science.

Question everything; Truth becomes brighter when you do.
