Ocean waves
Anytime you look at the surface of the ocean, you see waves coming up and going down. You can describe those waves in terms of sadness or happiness, big or small, more vigorous or less vigorous, more beautiful or less beautiful. You can also describe waves in terms of beginning and end, birth and death, highs and lows in our daily lives.
That can be campared to the historical dimension. In the historical dimension, we are mostly concerned with birth and death, more powerful, less powerful, more beautiful, less beautiful, beginning and end and so on.
Clearly, we can also see that waves are at the same time water. A wave may like to seek it own true nature. The wave might suffer from fear or from complexes. A wave may say," why am I not as big as the other ocean waves" , " I am suppressed" or "I am not as beautiful as the other ocean waves". A wave may be anguished about these ideas. But if the waves bends down and touches her true nature, she will now realize that she is a water. Then all her fears and complexes will vanish.
Henceforth, water is free from the birth and death of a wave. Water has nothing to do with highs and lows, more beautiful and less beautiful. You can talk about highs and lows, more beautiful and less beautiful only in terms of waves. Yet I conclude by saying, as far as water is concerned, all these concepts are invalid.
