Although the number of eggs does not decrease after a temperature of 24 degrees Celsius, the weight of the eggs decreases by one percent with each increase in temperature. After 28.5 C, the conversion power of chickens decreased. As the temperature rises from 28 degrees Celsius to 2 degrees, food intake decreases by 2 to 4 percent. Temperatures of 36 to 38 degrees Celsius are intolerable to chickens and die after very high 37 degrees.

Things to do to prevent heat stress: Shade trees should be planted around the farm and the house should be on the east-west side. However, modern farm managers are not encouraged to plant trees for protection. Chicken breasts should not be exposed to direct sunlight when hot. Spray water on the roof of the shed and / or tin can be two or three times a day to prevent overheating. The roof should be arranged with a bed / hardboard under the tile. Most of the time when the chicken is breathing, water can be sprayed on the house like a mist with a sprayer. The number of drinkers and suppliers should be increased. Drinking water should be changed frequently. Due to the increase in humidity in the hot climate, the bottom of the shed is usually wet and the rubbish gets wet quickly. As a result, the incidence of this disease is also increasing. That’s why it’s necessary to change the broiler shed litter every morning. The best results are obtained by using lime powder per liter. It is best if the distance from the shed to the shed is more than 30 meters. If the chicken coop in the shed is high, it should be reduced. Free air circulation will help keep the heat inside the shed cool and release harmful chicken ammonia gas. Shade stand fan should be arranged.

Food management on hot poultry farms: Cold and clean water should be provided. As the food they eat decreases as the temperature rises, they need to reduce their energy intake by 8 to 10 percent and increase protein, mineral salts and vitamins. Good results can be obtained by mixing 10-12 grams of sugar per liter of water and 10 grams of vitamin C per liter of water. There are pros and cons to natural betaine that helps keep water in stock.
