An evergreen tree. 12 to 15 bases high. Girdled by thick green leaves. There's no way to understand flowers fromoutside.However, you'll see beautiful red flowers hanging like batons inside the leaves, If you go down and stand.
The flowers generally bloom facing overhead. This flower is its exception. Nearly sunflower in size. This flower which is intimately blooming inside the leaves is known as'Bird Flower'in Bangladesh.

In Bangladesh this flower is also called British Ashoka. This tree is known by different names in different countries. Scientific name of brwnea coccinea. Its motherland is Latin America and the West Indian Islets. Although foreign, it can be seen nearly in Bangladesh recently.
Incredibly beautiful this flower has no smell. Kadam in the cub stage is shaped like a flower cocoon. In the alternate stage, 30 to 35 individual kids crop like a rhubarb flower. After a while, the kids burst together and the petals come out.
