THE SOUL HEALS and science cures. This new distinction between healing and curing is not easy to understand, but it is easy enough to experience. The intricate number and endless repetition of science create gaint scalpels and almost magical potion to destroy the dark disease within us. A friend of mine has one hundred and fifty stitches in his abdomen to remind him of the skill of the surgeon who removed the cancer there. He receive a shot every month to prevent any recurrence.
