Visiting one of the victims of the Aceh conflict
Today I took the time to visit an area in Bireuen district.
The goal is to visit the victims of the Aceh conflict in the past. Victims of this conflict are conflict victims who feel the suffering tortured by the Indonesian military.
I interviewed a victim of conflict at his residence. He told at length what happened to him.
At first the victims of the conflict were afraid to tell the story, however, because we were official officers of an international agency, he wanted to tell it.
We have submitted the complete document to the Aceh violence and reconciliation commission.
In this way the victims of the conflict can feel the touch of the international side.
