Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra: yes or no?

The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra was therefore well and truly inspired by the Note range, with the addition of a stylus and a more square design. A very different choice from last year. What do you think?

The highly anticipated new range of premium smartphones from Samsung has just been presented. If for the two cheapest smartphones, the S22 and S22 Plus, the changes are marginal, the S22 Ultra contrasts with its predecessor by drawing inspiration from the Note range.

We can establish the relationship with the Note range for two reasons: the presence of a stylus that can be stored at the very heart of the device and the very square format. As a bonus, Samsung has decided to remove the photo block and opt for a teardrop design.

A DIVISIVE CHOICE

For some who despaired of not seeing a Galaxy Note all of 2021, this new direction is great news. For others, having called this smartphone Galaxy S22, effectively erasing its notable origin, can be a little frustrating.

There is still enough to understand Samsung for whom the management of a single premium range is certainly simpler. We can also argue that the public of Ultra and Note was ultimately the same since people able to buy such an expensive phone often have professional goals in mind.

Others will probably regret the S21 Ultra and its slightly more slender design. To keep the classic feeling of the S range, you will now have to turn to an S22 or an S22 Plus. Is that enough to tempt some Samsung fans to look elsewhere?
