Caterpillars eat leaves

When visiting a place yesterday, I took shelter under a shady wooden tree. I then noticed that the tree's leaves were no longer intact as usual. Apparently the leaves are being eaten by a flock of small caterpillars as seen in the picture.

Then I tried to cut the caterpillar leaves with my hands and nails. After that I put it on the floor, then I immortalized it with the Oppo A37f camera.
Apparently these caterpillars are small. the color varies according to body size. Apparently this tiny caterpillar is able to use up several leaves a day.
