hello friends all hopefully we are all in good health On this occasion I want to take part in a contest held by @hive-118902
about Steem-agro Contest: "Basic Knowledge in Agriculture #8"
here is my entry
✅ the main difference between tuber plants and grain plants
tuber plants and grains have fundamental differences in the form of function and how to store energy tubers such as cassava potatoes and sweet potatoes store energy reserves in the form of carbohydrates that are concentrated in tubers, namely the enlarged part of the root or stem these plants generally grow underground providing natural protection against bad weather or external threats such as pests
on the other hand grain plants such as rice wheat and corn store energy in the form of seeds grains are the result of generative reproduction of plants and usually grow above the surface of the soil they are vulnerable to weather and pests but grains have a longer shelf life if stored in appropriate conditions besides grains tend to be richer in protein than tubers even though their calorie content is lower
✅ the effect of tuber plants on resistance food
Vegetable plants are very important for having enough food, particularly in less wealthy nations. One of the benefits is that it can keep going in tough places. Tubers like cassava can thrive in poorer soil and necessitate minimal care, providing a dependable food supply for societies without advanced farming equipment or resources.
Please rewrite this with synonyms: These botanical specimens serve as tactical sustenance stocks since they can be kept underground with negligible deterioration, thus fitting regions lacking ample nutritional storage facilities.
In addition, tubers provide high energy in the form of carbohydrates, which are very important for meeting daily calorie needs.
However, to improve overall food security, consumption needs to be diversified by combining tubers with grains and other protein sources. This aims to reduce the risk of malnutrition due to a diet that only relies on one type of staple food. Thus, tuber crops are not only a temporary solution but also part of a sustainable food system.
That's all I can share. On this occasion, thank you for those who have read it, hopefully it will be useful. On this occasion, I would like to invite my friends
