SLC S21W1 | Cleaning, face types and implements necessary to perform good makeup.
I have always wanted to learn makeup and loved it, but I never found the right teacher. I enjoy seeing makeup on others, but applying it on myself is hard. I can at least clean my face and shape my brows. I'm happy to be a student in the makeup class this season.
Hello Teacher,
I present my homework below...
💄As established in the previous module, analyze what type of skin you have, how you should take care of it, and what type of products you should use for that type of skin |
---|
My skin is like my introduction; it's the first thing people notice, so it's crucial for me to understand my skin type to select the right makeup products.
Based on what I've learned, I have Normal skin. I've never had dry or oily skin. My skin tends to be shiny in the T-zone, but I don’t experience oiliness since my powder stays on until I wash it off. I also haven’t had flaky or rough patches, which makes me confident that my skin is normal.
I don’t do much to care for my skin. I wash my face with a gentle towel during my bath and again at night after a long day. I use aloe vera every two weeks to cleanse my skin. I consider my smooth skin a special gift since I’ve never had pimples. I’ve also noticed that my skin feels soft because of my daily habits. I prefer natural moisturizers over synthetic ones.
💄Show us a personal photograph, in which you must explain the shape of your face and also tell us how you should outline and illuminate according to your specific shape |

I realized I have a round face, and it’s nice to confirm my thoughts. This lecture helped me understand my face shape better, and now I know how to enhance it and feel confident.
To accentuate my round face, I will focus on my forehead, cheekbones, and chin. I’m determined to practice with the right tools until I get it right.
Depending on the implements necessary to achieve good makeup, which of them you knew before and which ones you use frequently; did you give it the correct use? Which ones do you think are really indispensable when putting on makeup. Explain your answer |
---|
I really like makeup, but I've never worn it myself, so I don't have my own set of brushes. I've seen others with their brushes, and I always admire them when they open their boxes. I have a few brushes that I got for myself, but I don't know how to use them.
As a woman, I need to have all these makeup brushes since each one has its own function. For example, the concealer brush is one I can use very well. I picked up how to use it by watching an online video, and my makeup kit became more exciting after that. I'm not very skilled with the eyelash brush, so I don't use it much. Every makeup item is helpful, and I plan to get more as this lesson continues.
💄If you will need to apply the concealer (a liquid or cream product) to correct an imperfection, which of the implements do you think you could use for your application and which one for its blurring. Explain your answer. |
---|
When it comes to using the concealer to correct an imperfection, I would prefer using a concealer brush. First, it is what I learned to apply my concealer with. Secondly, using the concealer brush would give me an amazing result such that the imperfection will not be visible. For blurring, I will prefer using my sponge to blend.
Having makeup items is very necessary but knowing how to use them is another thing. The only thing I use concealer to do is to make invisible my

Hi dear Nina,
It was great to go through your entry. Yes, indeed It's very useful to have all different sorts of makeup brushes. And as you mentioned it's just as important to know how to use them properly. I have also learned a lot through watching YouTube tutorials.
Have a nice day!
