The barking dog
I have said to myself that when I build or buy a house of my own, I will own dogs in my compound because I have seen the usefulness of having stubborn and viber dogs in a house. If not for my landlord's dogs, the thief that came and robbed in my street would have escaped.
As of Monday, thieves broke into the neighbouring compound in my place and robbed. Someone in the compound started shouting Thief! theft!! Theft!!! Scrambling for help, the thief ran away into the bush. As he ran into the bush, men, women, and youths came out with cutlasses and entered the bush, and some dogs also followed them into the bush in search of the thief.
All the people that entered the bush couldn't see the thief, but the dogs saw the thief and started barking so hard. It was how the dog started barking that made the people see the thief, who ran into the bush to hide.
The dogs barked to chase the thief away from where he was hiding, and it made the people who went searching for the thief be able to capture the thief. The theft was caught by the help of the dogs; if not for the dogs, the thief would have escaped.
