Animal Activities #44

Animals story time, reading time! On the extreme end of a very calm village named Afrika there stood a small farm where a clever and brilliant goat called Jacket lived. Jack is different from other goats who were content to eat cassava leaves and chase chickens. Jacket had a dream that he wanted to fly like birds and chickens.

Every morning, Jacket watched how birds glide across the orange sunrise, their wings cutting through the wind with grace. Jacket said to himself, "If only I had wings." Jacket sighed, I'd see the world beyond these fences".

One cold afternoon, a jacket was found on an old bedsheet spread on the farm line. A wild use soaked in his mind. He used his horns to tug it down and tied the Bedsheet around his back with some twine that he found near the barn. To the jacket, it looked like wings. To others who saw him, he looked ridiculous.

The chickens laughed at him until their feathers shook. "Fly? You? You can barely climb the fence without slipping," one cackled. But the jacket ignores them. He climbed the small hill behind the farm, faced the field, and yelled, This is it, the sky awaits me, then leapt.

For a moment, the wind caught his sheet, and his jacket felt lighter than ever. "It's working!" He belated with joy. The other animals around rushed over to him expecting tears. But the jacket burst into laughter. "Did you know that? I almost flew like a bird. From that moment the goat became a legend on the farm.
