Basic Knowledge in Agriculture #4

in Steem-Agrolast month

Greetings to the curator of this contest and the beautiful Steemians behind the supportive system here. I'm glad to share my view on this topic.

Evidently I'm educated to understand the fundamental theorem governing a state, which declares that a state is incomplete without an agricultural move.

So Agricultural activities is very monumental and worth life-changing.

Briefly explain 3 causes of early crop growth damage

From my perspective, the causes of early crop growth damage is as a result of:

  • Invasion of Microorganisms

These can be bacterias, fungi, protist and so on and so forth. They are all generalized as microorganisms. They begin by attacking the cell of the crop, ensuring that their strength is weaken.

  • Invasion of Pest

Pest are unwanted macro-agents that invade and destroy our crops. Today we have different kind of diseases mosaic due to the invasion of the pest.

Cassava mosaic
Tomato mosaic
Carrots mosaic
Yam mosaic

It's certain that this invasion will not be visible unless the pest set-in for attack. Their mouth is a venom, and the kind of venom they release may not be compared to venom of a wild reptile. This is only effective on the crop embryo—catalyse with immediate effects.

  • Mutational Weeds

This are sudden changes that crops undergo while trying to gain ground in the growth phase. In the process of been exposed to growth, weeds begin to interrupt the growth phase of this crops, and if farmers are not vigilant, 88% of active nutrients are absorbed by the mutational Weeds.

In Nigeria mostly weeds competition with crops are between the scale of 5:1. If crops absorb 20% of the nutrients (minerals), 80% is absorbed by weeds. This should be the reason why mutational Weeds gain body capacity than crops.

  • Lack of commitment.

Some farmers are lackadaisical to the extent of activating the motto of: I can't kill myself. And so they prefer watching their hard-earning crops die off than to wake it up with their little efforts.

Mention 5 importance of nursery pots in plant early growth?

  • Plants have the opportunity to enjoy 100% nutrients available in the space than when planted directly from the crust.

  • Growths of weeds are 0.1% of no effect. Their intention to compete with crops under this space is deactivated, due to the environment.

  • It straighten the roots of the crop

  • It makes the plant gain momentum and speed when it acclimatize to the soil pH.

  • It prevent the plants from unlike erosion and weathering.

Briefly mention 3 differences between monocotyledon and dicotyledon plants

  • Monocotyledon plants have one seed leaf while dicotyledon have two seed leaf.

  • Monocotyledon plants leaves are isobilateral in nature while Dicotyledon plants are dorsiventral in nature.

  • Monocotyledon plants have fibrous root system (FRS) while Dicotyledon plants have Tap root system (TRS).

Name 5 examples of monocotyledon and dicotyledon plant

Yes Lack of commitment. If a farmer is not committed to his farm to be able to have time for his crop, like that of the weed. It can cause early growth damage.

Yeah. That's true
