Greenhouse agriculture is one of the best adaptations of human beings to changes in environment in my opinion. It is a technique where plants are cultivated in special shelters that consist of transparent materials including glass and plastic. These constructions provide farmers with the possibility to control temperature, humidity, ventilation, irrigation as well as carbon dioxide level. In this way, farmers do not rely only on weather conditions to grow plants; instead, they create stable climatic conditions for the plants. In this way, greenhouse agriculture shows that science and nature can collaborate and complement each other rather than struggle against one another.
The thing that attracts my attention most of all regarding this issue is the capability of this technique to provide protection to plants from weather adversities, pest invasions, excessive precipitation, droughts, extremes in temperature while using natural resources in an efficient manner at the same time. There are many innovations in this field including automatic climate control, hydroponics, drip irrigation, solar power systems, soil moisture sensors and others. In this way, farmers can save their waters, enhance the quality of crops and increase their productivity all the year round.
From my point of view, there is also some additional value of greenhouse farming. First of all, it serves as a great tool for studying of plant science, climate management, engineering and other aspects of modern agriculture in practice. Moreover, economically, this technique provides job creation, higher yield and high-quality products which lead to higher income of farmers and food security of countries since it reduces imports of vegetables and fruits.

Firstly, I consider the main advantage of using greenhouses in growing agricultural products to be the opportunity of gaining complete control over crops irrespective of the season. That is, farmers are able to plant vegetables, fruits, herbs, flowers and other products anytime since the cultivation of plants does not depend on weather conditions. This approach helps maintain stable supply of food, reduce losses of crops due to bad weather, flood, droughts, insects and other factors, as well as ensure that people have access to agricultural products despite any difficulties with growing crops outdoors.
Another advantage of using greenhouse farming is its positive influence on the economy and technological development. The technique allows farmers to increase productivity by growing better crops with higher value in markets. In addition, it promotes the introduction of innovative approaches such as automated irrigation systems, environmental sensors, artificial intelligence and renewable energy technologies. All this allows to save money spent on production process, water and fertilizers, as well as to attract young people who find farming combined with technology interesting.
Finally, I believe greenhouse farming has an important role in preservation of the environment and education of people. With greenhouse farming, less water, pesticides and area are used than in traditional farming for the same amount of crops produced. Schools and universities may use greenhouses to conduct experiments and teach students biology, environment, engineering, climate adaptation and sustainable production of food. Therefore, in times of increasing problems with environment, greenhouses are not only efficient in growing crops but also serve as an investment into education and innovations.
