Featuring British singer Lauren Bennett and American music producer GoonRock, the song Party Rock Anthem is by the American group LMFAO. In 2011, it was made available as the lead single from their second album, Sorry for Party Rocking.
The song topped the charts in Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, New Zealand, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States. In Finland, Italy, Norway, Poland and Sweden, it also reached the top five. In Australia, it has sold the most copies of a single in history. With sales of 9.7 million copies, it was the third best-selling digital single globally in 2011. It is the third most popular digital song in US history. The fifth most popular song of all time according to Billboard is currently "Party Rock Anthem". With over 1.2 billion views, it is currently the 34th most popular video on YouTube.
Most of the music on "Party Rock Anthem" is electronic. He was recognized with the MTV Movie Award for Best Score in 2012's "21 Jump Street." At the 2012 Kids' Choice Awards, the song also took home "Favorite Song." The 7th Annual TRL Awards presented the video with the "Best Video" trophy.
Redfoo and Sky Blu (a rapper), two members of LMFAO, worked with Shinzu Ai to produce the music video, which was released on March 8, 2011. Quest team members Hokuto Konishi, Victor Kim, Ryan Conferred, Steve Terada, Aris Paracuelles, Brian Hirano and Ryan Feng were in charge of choreographing it. The video is a mockumentary of the 2002 horror film "28 Days Later." The song's featured singer, Lauren Bennett, also appeared in the music video. The idea, according to director Mickey Finnegan, is that there's been an epidemic and everybody's got shuffling because as soon as the song came out, everybody had it. The Melbourne Shuffle, which quickly gained popularity in the US, is demonstrated by the dancers in the video. The song "Sorry For Party Rocking" is followed by the music video.
"Just Dance 3" and "FIFA Street" feature the song. It is used in the February 28, 2012 DLC for the Dance Central 2 video game. The pandaren male's dance move in World of Warcraft is based on the song's choreography.
