Daft Punk - Around The World

"Around the World" is one of Homework's famous promotional singles and features Daft Punk greats Guy-Manuel and Thomas Bangalter, giving lessons in synth experimentation and exploration. You may remember the video for this song. It features a group of robots, other swimmers, other athletes, mummies and skulls, all dancing at the same time on a platform with colored lights in the background. Choreographed by Spain's Blanca Lee, it was filmed at a slower tempo than the official video for Around the World, with the band repeating steps for each song.

The video for "Around the World" was directed by French director Michael Gondry, known for his work on films such as "Eternal Sunshine" or videos for artists such as Björk, The Chemical Brothers and The White Stripes. In another video where the director revealed the concept, Gondry said that he liked the idea of the music video's choreography, but that it was difficult to do what he liked because he only did it because he liked the video.
