Hello my people STEEMIT

Hello dear friends, once again, it is a pleasure for me to share with you here on SING AND PLAY in its Week No. 153, a song that was composed , back in the 70s of the last century and that, even today, reflects part of the reality that was intended to show in those times. It is a music in the rhythm of Bambuco "Pueblos Tristes", by one of the most versatile Venezuelan popular composers of the 20th century; Otilio Galindez (1935 - 2009). The master Galíndez composed works of deep human sensitivity and in this song he portrays the reality of the Latin American peoples as it will be shown, at the time, by novelists such as the Mexican Jan Rulfo with his work "Pedro Páramo", from The Venezuelan Miguel Otero Silva did the same with his novel "Dead Houses" and the Colombian Gabriel García Marquez with "One Hundred Years of Solitude". Here is my entry for this Week 153 with this simple acoustic version and I just hope you like it.

Hola queridos amigos, una vez más, es un placer para mi compartir con ustedes aquí en SING AND PLAY en su Semana Nro. 153, una canción que fue compuesta, allá por los años 70 del siglo pasado y que, aún, hoy día, refleja parte de la realidad que se pretendía mostrar en aquellos tiempos. Se trata de una música en ritmo de Bambuco "Pueblos Tristes", de uno de los compositores populares venezolanos más versátiles del siglo XX; Otilio Galindez (1935 - 2009). El maestro Galíndez compuso obras de honda sensibilidad humana y en esta canción retrata la realidad de los pueblos latinoamericanos tal como la mostrarán, en su momento, novelistas como el mexicano Jan Rulfo con su obra "Pedro Páramo", del mismo modo lo hizo, el venezolano Miguel Otero Silva con su novela "Casas muertas" y el colombiano Gabriel García Marquez con "Cien años de soledad". Aquí les dejo mi entrada para esta Semana 153 con esta sencilla versión acústica y solo espero que sea del agrado de ustedes.

Pueblos tristes

Qué piensa la muchacha que pila y pila,
qué piensa el hombre torvo junto a la vieja,
y qué dicen campanas de la capilla,
con sus notas que tristes parecen quejas.

Y esa luna que amanece
alumbrando pueblos tristes,
qué de historias, qué de penas,
qué de lágrimas me dice.

En el fondo hay un santo de a medio peso,
una vela que muere en aceite sucio,
más allá viene un perro que es puro hueso,
con ladridos del hambre que Dios le puso
