Mi primer Power Up - Uniéndome a esta gran iniciativa || My first Power Up - Joining this great initiative
Hola amigos || Hello friends
For days now I have wanted to be part of a movement started by @davidcentenor which I think, we should be all part of it. And even the friend @donatello and other members of the Dance and Music community have begun to join this great movement to grow all our Sp. There are several ways how to make this happen one of them, is to convert the Steem given by some rewards for some contest, another, is to buy directly Steem and then pass them to Steem Power, ie, make Power Up. Don't be alarmed! This is a fairly simple task to do. And don't worry, I will explain later how.
We agree that the vast majority of active creators are Venezuelan and most of them are going through difficult situations at home. I know, and I certify it. I have lived through very difficult situations and they have led me to make decisions that we may regret later. For any Venezuelan, having some SBD or Steem, is a blessing and even more now in times of pandemic, and even more, adding the current economic state of the country.
I will give you a little bit of my personal monthly budget:
- Housing rent: $70 (plus $5 for condominium)
* Groceries for two weeks: $30
Basic utilities: $8
Monthly allowance for my son: $20 (and I'm ashamed).
And I'm talking about not leaving the house, not having a coffee on the street, or an ice cream for the heat. Or some fast food craving.
To these expenses I must include that I live with my grandmother and therefore I help her with her medicines or exams when she needs them. For her medicines I help her with between 10$ or 15$ depending on how my pocket is.

Now, if we add up all those expenses, it comes to $143 a month. Now that I add them up, I thank God for giving me the energy I need to be able to work hard enough to put food on the table.
As you can see, like many here, I have expenses. And I'm sure you already went to my blog to see my posts hahaha.... But no, I don't have the luck of others, but thanks to the fact that I've made them up, I've been able to make ends meet when necessary. I've sold some things I had in storage, I've worked in construction, I've worked as a waiter, as a sound assistant, as a storekeeper, I've even had to be a gardener. And as many know, the Venezuelan has always been a hard worker. And I am proud to be Venezuelan.
But we must keep in mind and understand that the more Steem power we have in our wallet, we will be providing a better reward to fellow creators and you also gain from healing. It's a give and take if you want to see it that way. But what I want is to encourage you to join this initiative that is really great and for sure, from this harvest, some good fruits will come out.
We must understand that Steem Power (abbreviated SP) is a measure of how much influence a user has on the Steem network. The more Steem Power a user has, the more he/she can influence the value of posts and comments. So, I understand this concept, I will start doing Power Up if possible every week. Everything will also depend on the support I get on my posts. My only steady job is to share my music through this medium and most of my income is thanks to the little or a lot I have here on Steemit. Of course I would also like to grow together with my fellow steemitters.

Empecemos || Let's start
The wallet you are looking at the top, is mine. As you can see I have the amount of 14,902 which I want to convert into Steem power. I will explain the process in case you still don't understand how to do it.
We go to where the Steem is and click on the arrow pointing down. The box you see above will appear. Once there, click on the Power Up option and the following box will appear.
As you can see, here the work is simple and easy. We place the amount with which we want to make Power up and in the same button with the same name, we clip it. In my case I will do it with what I have 14.902. If you look at the first image of my wallet, I have 135.095 Sp Now let's see what happens when we clip the Power Up button.
A new option appears. Every transaction we make within the blockchain, we must confirm it. Here we can put some description of our Power Up. Of course, this memo is optional. Remember that you had 135,902 Sp? Now we will add the 14.902 that I added to my Sp. And the result is: 149.997

Now, what happens if we don't have Steem but we have SBD and we want to invest in our Steem Power? Well, here I explain that process again. It is not bad to repeat this process again. Let's start: In my case I have in my wallet 0.852 SBD which I want to convert into Steem Dollar. Come on, let's sell and increase our Sp even more.
Click on the down arrow next to the SBD and a box with several options will appear. Let's go to where it says Marketplace. This is how the Steem marketplace looks like.
In this market, we see two boxes, one in red and the other in green. Each one with a different function. The red one to sell, and the green one to buy. In this case I need to buy Steem with my 0.852 SBD. Then I must work with the green box "Buy from Steem" There we will see the current price of the currency in the market. We can raise the price or lower it, it is up to each one to decide. In my case I will leave it like this so that the purchase of the Steem is fast.
You see, for my SBD I can buy 5,293 Steem. That's what we will do! We will buy those 5.293 Steem. You just have to fill in the boxes and then click on the Buy Steem button. The purchase is almost immediate so we can go to our wallet and find the Steem just bought as I will show in this next image.
Once the Steem are in our wallet, we do the same process we did above. Now I will do the Power Up with these new Steem and my Sp will continue to increase. And that's what it's all about, to increase our Steem Power as much as we can. I know it is not easy for many to achieve it, but come on, I encourage you, we can achieve the goal. I have already lowered my Steem and I keep increasing my Sp. I went from 149,997 Sp to 155,291 and little by little we are adding more.
