Las telenovelas en mi país, Venezuela, constituyeron sobretodo en otros tiempos, un sano entretenimiento para la familia, un momento refrescante para conocer historias. También es que tuvimos el privilegio de tener en nuestro país, oriunda de Cuba, una gran dama creadora de Telenovelas, la Sra. Delia Fiallo, quien por cierto falleció recientemente y que siempre será recordada por sus realizaciones
Telenovelas in my country, Venezuela, constituted above all in other times, a healthy entertainment for the family, a refreshing moment to know stories. We also had the privilege of having in our country, originally from Cuba, a great lady creator of telenovelas, Mrs. Delia Fiallo, who by the way passed away recently and will always be remembered for her achievements.
En estos momentos tendré el honor de decirles que mi telenovela favorita se llama: “Cristal”. Fue transmitida por primera vez en 1985, y aún sigue siendo una favorita, no sólo Venezuela sino en varias partes del mundo.
At this moment I will have the honor to tell you that my favorite telenovela is called: "Cristal". It was first aired in 1985, and it is still a favorite, not only in Venezuela but in many parts of the world.
La trama gira en torno a una chica humilde, Victoria, que quedó embarazada y abandonada por todos, por lo que su bebé fue a parar a un orfanato: Cristina Espósito.
The plot revolves around a humble girl, Victoria, who got pregnant and was abandoned by everyone, so her baby ended up in an orphanage: Cristina Espósito.
Al pasar el tiempo, Victoria se convierte en la más afamada diseñadora de Caracas, y conoce a Cristina quien aspira a ser modelo en su Casa de moda.
As time goes by, Victoria becomes the most famous designer in Caracas, and meets Cristina who aspires to be a model in her fashion house.
Fue muy impresionante la escena cuando por primera vez Cristina debuta en un desfile y Victoria orgullosa de la belleza de su modelo dice: “Se llamará Cristal” y desde ese momento se inicia una historia apasionada que abarca la vida de interesantes personajes y que mantenían la atención total de la audiencia en la telenovela.
The scene was very impressive when for the first time Cristina makes her debut in a fashion show and Victoria, proud of the beauty of her model, says: "Her name will be Cristal" and from that moment on, a passionate story begins, covering the lives of interesting characters that kept the total attention of the audience in the telenovela.
Lo que no imaginaba Victoria es que Cristal era su hija. Y cuando lo descubre, ya habían varios problemas entre ellas, pues Cristina y el hijastro de Victoria estaban enamorados, por lo que ésta arremetió de una forma muy cruel con la muchacha, tal como ella había sido tratada en su juventud. Gracias a Delia Fiallo y a que la vida debe ser bella, y más en telenovelas, al final todo se resuelve y el amor triunfa.
What Victoria did not imagine was that Cristal was her daughter. And when she finds out, there were already several problems between them, because Cristina and Victoria's stepson were in love, so she lashed out in a very cruel way with the girl, just as she had been treated in her youth. Thanks to Delia Fiallo and to the fact that life must be beautiful, especially in telenovelas, in the end everything is resolved and love triumphs.
