My experience with Quacks.

Quacks are people that disguises under the image of another and most times pretending to be professionals in fields they are not qualified for. We encounter many quacks in our many encounters in seeking services from others, from the pharmacist at the pharmacy to the repairers we hire to even our leaders. Permit me to actually place my focus on our leaders.

What do you understand by the word Quack ?

Quacks can simply be put as fraudsters and fraudulent characters constantly parading their selves as the, professionals we need for the services we seek or desire.

Do you believe that there are quacks in many professions around us. Back your answers with facts.

Quacks are everywhere, we most times visit pharmacies when we are are sick to get drugs to help provide relieve to our condition. Unknowing to us most of these pharmacies we approach are not professionals in the pharmaceutical department, they are only regular people that use guess work to recommend and prescribe drugs, hence why most times, people treat malaria and typhoid and still keep feeling unwell.

These disguised pharmacist sometimes even put on lab coats and doctor's uniforms, to look qualified. They never advise patient's to carry out lab tests, to be sure of the nature of their sickness and to check if it is actually typhoid and malaria or just malaria. They will almost always prescribe antibiotics and Anti malaria, forgetting that not just any antibiotic is needed for a mild form of typhoid, a laboratory examination will reveal the best for that particular case.

You later find such patients being resistant to antibiotics because their systems have gotten used to using strong antibiotics for mild cases of typhoid. Sometimes palliative care are needed to effectively treat a patient, but once the patient is not getting better the pharmacist will suggest another stronger antibiotics, making your system their training apparatus😬.

What is your experience with quack. And what was your reaction when you realized the mistake

Bad governance is an everyday quack experience we have experienced or are still experiencing in the world today, but let me focus on Nigeria, as it is my country.

We vote and elect leaders based on our believes that they will help manage the affairs of the nation and develop our country even further using our rich natural resources to grow our GDP and also creating policies that will benefit us all or even most of us. During the elections we vote for the candidates that we feel will be best for the job.

But, almost always, INEC gives us their candidates based on their own selections and manipulated figures and then declare their candidate as the winners of the country's election. These selection by them, have brought more hardship and setbacks to our great country Nigeria.

The giant of African is now in the poverty garden of confusion, where even the rich are worried because when the poor get poorer and hungrier, the rich will become food to be shared by the cannibals that they are gradually turning many into.

How can the society do away with this set of people because of the harms they have caused and yet to cause.

When we start holding our leaders accountable for their actions. When diplomatic immunities stops covering ex-governors and presidents. When we stop celebrating them for providing basic citizen's amenities. When we completely ignore tribes and come together as one, to drag the government just like the generators they have forcefully made us worship. It has to be a collective effort of all, as it is a job for all and never a job for just one person.

What do you think is the best punishment for quack if caught.

Since they swore an oat to serve us, before assuming their positions and offices. They should offer what was promised and if they cant, then options like resignation after a year of poor service, should be employed. To create room for a more competent person, as 4 years is too much years to be wasting, yearly reviews need to be done on all our government representatives. Also they can be sent to prison for few years, so those coming after will learn to do better.

We have made the governmental system, a luxurious parlor, where money spending and beautification have blinded them from the work and services they were originally created to offer. They don't seem to remember the reasons for which, they were selected, sorry I mean elected into power.

We aim to grow our country and to make the African nation a solid force that many will envy but instead, African leaders have settled into working actively in taking the country backwards into dislocation and even further division.

Thank you @okere-blessing for this contest cos as I dived into it, it took me into the reality of today, that I just could not ignore when I hear the sufferings many have been abandoned into.
