Hello everyone. Nice having you again after a long vacation. It will be so amazing to discuss with you on work ethics. I know that each and everyone of us are working either in public sector or in a private sector and both sectors has their ethics. Come with me let’s discuss on the following topics below about work ethics and how it affects us.

Work ethics is considered as a professional responsibility and integrity guiding the organization to achieve a set goal and values. It is very necessary to work in an organization as a team with common objectives and this also help to maintain the organization integrity , reduces quarks and enhances safety and stability in productivity

Every organization with good ethics of works always records progress and standards of works. Take for instance if roles is being set in an organization and everyone take it seriously, let’s say a construction company set a role not to do any substandard job either in mix ratio of a product and someone with a selfish intention went ahead to mix what is out of the design, the results though might not be immediately but believe me it always fails without meeting the designed life span and this always bring a very bad reputation to the organization.

Some ethics as practiced in my organization. I am a civil engineer working with the ministry of works and my rule is to supervise roads construction projects for the government of my state. The ethics of my work includes keeping the standard of work of which i am licensed to practice which includes working to achieve the British Standard and if I keep my ethics while supervising, the government will be able to save money because the road will stand to the designed life span without government spending more money for maintenance and that will also give the government confidence that the engineer representative is good and can be given more opportunity.

Work ethics enhances effective productivity as I explained above. Keeping to the roles and the standard of an organization help to improve quality productivity and help meet up with the set goals on a stipulated time without unnecessary waste of time and resources. When everyone In an organization work with an integrity they uphold the standard of the organization and enhances effective productivity and it’s objectives.

Having studied and understand the advantages and disadvantages of work ethics, i will conclude that keeping the ethics of work in our work place is very important as it helps in effective productivity and keep a good reputation of the organization.
