The future of my country by @sabbirakib

Greetings to my fellow Steemian. Today, I will share an article about The Future of My Country as a part of a contest arranged by @bonaventure24. Let’s begin.

Introduction of My Country and Brief History

My country's name is Bangladesh. The name is based on our mother language Bangla. Like others, we also have a long history about ourselves. Before, the 1200th, we belonged to some native king. They used to rule several areas by themselves. Then there comes a Muslim Commander named Ikhtiyar al-Din Muḥammad Bakhtiyar Khalji. Without any battle, he removed Lakhsmana Sena from the throne and claimed it as a new ruler supported by Muhammad Ghori—this land that was ruled by his dynasty and later by the Mughal Emperor. At a battle at Palashi, the English took over our land and after Two centuries, we got our freedom from them and were born as East Pakistan. 1971 after a nine-month independent war, we got our final freedom from them.

🎯 What is currently happening in my country? What do I think about my future lies there or not?

After the independence, we witnessed a lot of ups and downs. But today, something is happening that I can’t explain. The life of normal people is so bad. Provably worse in the last 30 years. Bangladesh Awami League is, the ruling party, led by Sheikh Hasina who has in the throne for Fifteen Years. In the meantime, there was a lot of development. But, the expenses of daily life are risen a lot. It’s tough to live a normal life nowadays. The price of food and goods is too high. Daily needs are now become a dream for common people.

I love my country. Even after numerous reasons to leave, I still want to live here till my last day. The only thing I can do is try to make Bangladesh a better place to live. This is my hope and this is my future which lies here, surely.

🎯 Do I think the government is living up to expectations?

Of course not. No common man will think this way. You may know that our current govt. making roads, metro-rail, etc. But all of them are eye-wash. Living costs increased rapidly. A kind of dictatorship is going on here. No one can tell anything. Corruption is everywhere. Yes, our government is not living up to expectations.

🎯 Are the citizens of my country living in happiness or sadness?

The citizens of my country are very sad. They can’t say anything to anyone. Whoever goes against Govt. are falls into a lot of problems. If someone claims he or she is happy, there is only one meaning is that he/she is supported by govt. and their wrongdoing.

🎯 How do you view the future of my country?

The future of my country is uncertain. Political changes may improve the situation. Maybe, can be worse than that. But we are hopeful that something good will happen to us. Maybe not today, but tomorrow. But things will turn back.
