Contest : "How to Improve Your Professional Skills?
Hello steemains how are you all doing today I hope all is well and you all are having a nice and wonderful day, today I will be partaking in a contest organize by @shiftitamanna which is titled How to Improve Your Professional Skills?
In my entry we will learn about what is being meant by the phrase professional skills and the various ways in which we can improve them.
What is meant by professional skills? |

A professional skills according to my own personal knowledge it is that special skills which a person possesses and he or she is also an expert in the field of work or career.
In other words a professional skills can also be seen as a set of skills which allows a person to function in a particular work environment and perform at his or her highest level.
What to do to increase professional skills? |

There are some many things that can be done by a person in other to increase his or her professional skills;
- Reflecting on your previous educational and work experience
- Reflecting on the skills that you have learn in your daily lives and tried to work on it
- By cherishing various combinations when it comes to skills in carrying out a job
- Time management is another important key in being able to improve professional skills
Amongst all other proven to be effective ways are some of the various steps and activities that can be done in other to increase professional skills.
What professional skills are in high demand in your country? |

The professional skills that are in high demand in my country Nigeria is none other than teaching as a profession, I know most of you might get me wrong but I will explain.
If you want to compare you will see that out of a 100% of graduates who wants to be a teacher 80% of them have been employed, meanwhile in other professions like engineering out of 100% only 20% have been able to find a job
So with this statistics you can clearly see that teaching is the highest professional skills that are in high demand in my country and that is why they call akwa ibom a civil service state.

Professional skill is a must have for anyone who is keen at his/her career because it gives you and edge over others in your field. It adds value to you and your profession.
Meanwhile, there are many professions in Nigeria which the skills are needed especially in the area of computer technology.
