Learning Part What is the difference between electrical and electronics?
Assalamualaikum Everyone. I am @imranhassan

How are you all? I hope you are well. Today I will share with you that we use various devices in our homes, like televisions, fridges, mobile phones, and laptops, but have we ever thought which of them are electrical devices and which are electronic devices? In today's episode, we will discuss this topic first. We know the definition of electronics and electrical.
🟩The branch of science that deals with the flow and control of electricity through semiconductors is called electronics. On the other hand, the branch of science that deals with the flow and control of electricity through conducting materials is called electrical.
🟩Electronics deals with semiconductors, and electrical deals with conductors. If we want to understand electronics and electrical devices separately, then we first need to understand what the conductivity of materials is. Conductivity tells how much electricity will flow through a material or resist it. That is, no material can transport electricity equally with the transport capacity of that material. That is, their transport capacity is different; for example, if we take the example of iron and plastic, iron is a very good conductor, but plastic is an insulator. That is, non-conductive.
Any substance can be divided into three categories based on conductivity. One is a conductor, another is a semiconductor, and another is a nonconductor, an insulator.
🟩Materials through which electricity can flow freely without any obstruction are called conductors, such as iron, copper, gold, silver, etc.
🟨Again, all the materials through which the flow of electricity is obstructed are called semiconductors, such as silicon, germanium, etc.
🟨Finally, there are non-conductors where no electricity can flow through them, such as glass, plastic, dry wood, etc.
🟩Devices that are made of conductors are called electrical devices, such as fans, motors, heaters, etc. If we ever open a fan, we can see that it has coils made of copper wire. And copper is a very good conductor material since the main part of a fan is made of good conductor material, so it is an electrical device.
🟩On the other hand, if we ever open a mobile phone, we will see that there is a green or blue-colored PCB board in which many small components are placed. And most of these components are made of semiconductors; that's why mobile phones, laptops, or TVs in your home are electronic devices. That is, we understood that all the devices that are made of conductive materials are called electrical devices, and all the devices that are made of semiconductors are called electronics devices.
🟩Then there are various devices that use both electrical and electronics. For example, if we consider an elevator, the motor used to raise and lower the elevator is the electrical part. Again, if we press any button in the elevator, it takes us to that specific application; the function of this button is again done through electronics. That is, both electrical and electronics are used in an elevator. Then again, the compressor used in the fridge is electric, and the sensors used in the fridge are electronics.
🟩From today's post, we got to know the definition of electronic and electrical. and the difference between electrical and electronics devices. And what are electrical and electronics?
