Are thewre those in charge of customers satisfaction in your workplace? How many hours do they work.

I'm a medical laboratory technician working in Rhema House Of Diagnosis, ikpa Road, Uyo. There, we are three in number, the medical laboratory scientist who is my boss, I and my colleague who is a receptionist.

The establishment dose not have a specific employee as a customer care personnel. What we do is any of us who is on seat will attend to a customer according to your profession and the training you went through. We work for 11hour, from 8:am in morning through 6pm in the evening.

How quick do they respond to disputes and inquiries? (You can share experience if any.)

Customer service is very important in any organization. The fast way and the approach towards a customer, will make them to come back again and sometimes gives you a referral.

In the establishment, we don't keep customer waiting for too long. We treat them as important as such their problem is also treated the same way. Month ago, we had an encounter with a patient, a girl of about 12 years who lost her memory as the results of cerebral malaria.

It was such a pity for a grandmother who brought her. When my boss asked the grandma what happened, she told us that she was brought to her just like that. She said according to the person that brought her, the girl had a compulsion during her 4year old and the mother instead to rush her to the hospital for necessary things to do, she decided to left her that way.

And now, the girls is suffering from the effects. When I heard the story and looking at the girls, I really felt bad. As she is there, she doesn't know anything according to her grandma. Because the thing as affected her brain, she cannot coordinate well. I was surprised to see that even to stand up, come or move, the grandma has to use her hands and demonstrate too.

Thanks to my boss who suggested brain scan for the girl and advices her grandma to be massaging her just like a baby because part of her body are also affected. We conducted some tests to her in which some of the results came out positive including Malaria Parasites

What are some necessary tools that can make their work enjoyable.

The work is much enjoyable when a patient openly disclose his/her history to the professional. A smooth and successful working tools are as follows;

• History: Telling the professional your situation, the problem you're passing through (everything). Then from there, he/she will ask you more questions to be convinced on what he/she suspect.

• Age: Many people fake age when there go to hospital. This is very bad. Make sure you give your right age so as to receive a perfect treatment, why? The test results is what a doctor work on, medicine has dose according to age, if the doctor take a drugs that is not meant for you age and give you because of your ignorance then you have yourself to be blame.

• If you took drugs already: Most test cannot be diagnosed immediately if you're taken drugs already before going to the laboratory to carryout test. Do well to open up or preferably show the professional those drugs you took to help him in his work and to avoid been given a wrong results.

• Payment: Paying for the test will also help for the smooth conduction of the test.

Do you think every organization needs steady customer service provider? Share your thoughts.

In my opinion, I will say yes. Be it a big organization or small, customers needs to be properly attending to. It is one of the strategy that improve and make the organization grow. Growth is also very important in life, so if you cannot employ a steady customer service personnel, make sure you presence fix in the place to make customers happy, from there, your organization will be more sweeter.
