My thoughts on journalism in my country. By @alinaasim5

Assalam o Alaikum

I hope you all are doing great by the grace of Allah Almighty. I'm fine too. Today I'm going to take part in the contest that is organized by @enamul17 in Steem4professionals community.

✅ What do you think journalism in a country should look like and how much of it has been observed in your country?

Journalism should be objective, independent, accountable, transparent and ethical. In some countries, strong, legal protection and professional standards uphold these principals, resulting in a rubust press. In others, media may significant challenges such as censorship, political pressure, or economic constraints that hinder their ability to perform these roles effectively.

✅ Do you believe that all the news you are seeing today's time contains honesty and accurate information? What is the reason for believing or not?

Established and reputable news organizations generally strive for accuracy and maintain editorial standards. Many news outlets have inherent biases due to their ownership, audience, and political learning. The rise of social media and online platforms has made it easier for misinformation and disinformation to spread. The business model of news which often relies on advertising revenue, can lead to sensationalism or click bait to attract viewers and readers. There are now many independent fact checking organization that access the accuracy of news stories.

✅ Has there been any change between the journalism of your country in the past and the present time? Has it had a positive or negative impact?

In past, journalism was primarily print based, with newspaper, magazine, and later radio and television being main source of news. There was a strong emphasis on through fact-checking and editior oversight. Journalism was funded mainly through subscription and advertising in print Media. Interaction between journalism and audience was limited.

In Present, the rise of internet and digital media has revolutionized journalism, with online news website, social media and podcast. News is now delivered in real time, 24/7 through online platforms and social media. While many reputable outlets maintain high standards, the pressure to be first with breaking news can sometimes compromise accuracy. Social media and comment section for immediate audience feedback and engagement.

Earlier we used to get news through newspapers, magazines and radio, but now it has become easier and more accessible through social media. However, the current social media is creating a lot of confusion in the news. It is very difficult to know which is true and which is false. Thank you very much for participating in my contest. Hopefully you will be careful to write more words according to the criteria.
