The Bernie Sanders meme is now a $45 sweatshirt
Sen. Bernie Sanders is capitalizing on his viral internet meme by selling sweatshirts on his website.
The $45 "Chairman Sanders Crewneck" sweatshirt features the Vermont senator wearing a parka, hand-knit mittens and a blue surgical mask while sitting in a folding chair.
"Vermont jacket, Vermont gloves, Vermont common sense," the description on his website reads. "100% of proceeds go to Meals on Wheels Vermont."
Sanders' fashion choice became a viral meme Wednesday after he was photographed sitting alone in his parka and mittens during President Joe Biden's inauguration ceremony.
The democratic socialist defended his outfit saying he preferred to stay warm rather than be fashionable.
