British pound jumps as EU's top Brexit negotiator says a trade deal is within reach
This is standard negotiation tactics. I actually have experience with negotiations , and I can tell you this from experience. The EU will come out with " we will drop our lawsuit in exchange for your fish " It's coming sure as the sun rises in the East, and if I know about it , you can bet your ass Frosty and the team know about it. The EU knows all about breaching good faith. They're experts at it.
