The melody of Diwali

Diwali was originally known as the "Festival of Lights," the religious meaning of Diwali is "light of the heart" or "brightness of the soul." The core of Hindu philosophy is that 'Antar' or 'Atma,' which is limitless, immortal, and pure, is what lies underlying the body and mind.

Only when the light of that heart can be lit, good intellect wins, evil power is defeated. Moral depravity occurs when the human heart is covered in the darkness of ignorance, jealousy, envy, greed, arrogance, and theft. People get involved in fights, fights, wars, quarrels.

Due to these evil reps, the enlightened part of the human heart remains hidden. Truth triumphs only when the conscience is awakened by breaking this veil. Man finds his own soul, knowledge develops. Another name for this feeling of development is ‘joy’ or ‘peace’. Although Diwali is celebrated in different ways, especially in groups, races, castes, places, but its main message is one: seeing in the light of the heart, seeing the light of the heart.

All the darkness should be erased in the light of Diwali, and all the bad forces, demons, devils, and ghosts should flee at the sound of fireworks. However, I am agitated when I hear the venomous snake snorting all around me, or when I read in the daily newspaper about brother-brother, husband-wife, neighbor-neighbor violence, murder, and quarrels. But does the Diwali lamp's light not reach the people's hearts?

Previously, clay lamps, sticks, and candles had been lighted, and a couple of coconut stalks or milk had been discovered in the hands to sweeten. People have improved from time to time throughout history. Dhanaratna's magnificent grandeur and majesty has risen. The sky is lighted by pyrotechnics rather than earthen lamps. But what about enhancing one's spiritual state of mind?

There are so many glittering lights all around, yet why doesn't the light of our hearts shine? In the flash of the surrounding light, even distant objects can be seen. The only thing that doesn't come to mind is the 'soul' sitting quietly inside the chest!

It's time to turn on the light, open your eyes and see yourself. Otherwise, there will be no profit even if the festival of lights is held for twelve months of the year.
