Every cucumber farmer should grow vertically

I want to share one simple farming idea that could be the key to the success of your agriculture business or even a small personal farm at your backyard that is to feed your family.

Most of us know that, the right amount of rain is good for crops and the opposite is true for excess rain, especially if it's cucumber plants.

As the saying goes, too much of anything is bad.

If the vines are on the wet ground, the stems are bound to rot. Since the ground and the leaves are wet, diseases will spread and multiply.

This is the reason why bamboo poles and strings are used to lift the cucumber plants.

With this setup, the cucumber vines will be trained or let me say, forced to grow vertical. This will allow the leaves to have a continuous flow of fresh air, and it even helps the leaves dry faster after rainfall.

Since the leaves dry faster, the likelihood disease spreading is reduced. Along with the vines, the cucumbers will also be elevated.

So your cucumbers will be clean even after harsh conditions. Assuming there's some little rain or strong wind, it'll still be a bit better with all the mud around.

The elevated fruits are easier to see when it's time to harvest. The reason it's good is because the fruits that are resting on the ground or that are hidden in the leaves are more likely to be stepped on.

It's an easy set up with good benefits. Farming with knowledge is better than starting farming with a lot of money alone.
